Westminster City officials received two complaints, including Health Protection Agency / Food Agency concerns over this particular natural ice cream flavor. The breast milk ice cream was removed. Rumors of the ice cream being banned [from sales] until further notice surfaced.
According to the BBC news release Baby Gaga sold out fairly quick on the first day. You may be wondering what others are debating – bodily fluids?
We are talking human bodily fluids produced by pregnancy – the very reason to its existence – the givers of nutrients – mother’s milk. There’s a reason consumers will not find piss pops in the freezer isle.
It is not known whether the donating mothers had a drug or alcohol, physical or mental screening. And then there’s the condition and disease factors, including hepatitis, HIV, etc. But the amount of donation sources resulted in less than 20. After viewing an advertisement only 15 women donated breast milk for the parlor’s organic ice cream.
Icecreamists wanted to share a unique new product. And when was the last time you sat around thinking about dunking the cookie in a tall glass of warm human breast milk? When was the last time you had a breast milk shake? And a bowl of Baby Gaga? Unique.
The noted [not by experience] “tasty” organic breast milk ice cream’s recent cancer cure theory has gained attention. All in all, skeptics would say, “Silly London, breast milk’s for kids…”
The human body, during the first year of life, depends on nutrients delivered through breast milk or baby formula. Mothers who can’t produce their own breast milk or face issues with breast feeding their baby a breast milk bank may appeal to them. And yes, most breast milk banks take donations. But again, let’s hope the screening process is thorough.
