The Bonnaroo lineup 2011 was bound to be star studded. Indeed, the Bonnaroo lineup 2011 has several names that just made big headlines at the Grammys. Yet this festival isn’t based on star power, as it features performers from all walks of music. However, having major names doesn’t hurt, although there are dozens more acts and groups to help them out. This year, the Bonnaroo lineup 2011 has Eminem, Arcade Fire, Buffalo Springfield, The Black Keys, Lil Wayne and many more receiving that help.
On Sunday night, Arcade Fire exploded from the indie scene to win the Album of the Year Grammy. Now they have top billing in one of summer’s biggest music festivals, along with Eminem, Lil Wayne and Buffalo Springfield.
In addition, the Bonnaroo lineup 2011 features The Black Keys, who actually beat Arcade Fire for the Best Alternative Album. Mumford & Sons will be there, after helping Bob Dylan with his acoustic tribute on Sunday night. Also, Buffalo Springfield will return, in their only festival of the summer.
Dozens more are slated to join them, like My Morning Jacket, The Decemberists, The Strokes, Florence + the Machine, Gregg Allman, Ray Lamontagne and Big Boi. Since the festival is from June 9-12, it gives them plenty of time to shine, however.
Those on the Bonnaroo lineup 2011 are set to add to the festival’s legacy. It was founded 10 years ago on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, where it remains to this day. Since then, it has been recognized as one of the 50 events that changed rock and roll, according to Rolling Stone.
The event showcases some of music’s most famous names, along with its rising stars, indie darling, and up-and-coming acts. Since it encompasses practically every musical genre, every fan demographic is well represented. With the area’s various camping sites, and a 100 acre entertainment village, there’s not much room for crowds to be bored.
Now that the Bonnaroo lineup 2011 is set, fans have a few days to decide if it’s worth buying tickets for. The first batch of tickets will go on sale this Saturday, starting at noon on their website. Since there are four months left until the show, there’s a lot of time to make reservations – but considering the large crowds, it’s better to reserve a spot quickly.
The act themselves have their share of time to get ready, and figure out which day they’ll play on. Whatever the order, however, the Bonnaroo lineup 2011 will have thousands of vastly different fans ready to cheer them on.
