General David Petreaus
Barbara Walters’ Number One Choice is a well-deserved honor. She explained that the General has always had the philosophy that rehabilitating Afghanistan should not include violence, but should help the nation to rebuild their facilities while preventing harm to the citizens, especially young children. He was at one point sent back to Kansas for his views, but was eventually brought back to Afghanistan to implement his ideas.
Barbara’s choices are right-on. Her inclusion of General Petreaus, kept secret until the show aired, was a thrill to me and to all Americans who love their country.
