In an exclusive interview with David Good, he elaborated on how Brad Womack’s first episode on “The Bachelor” in 2011 reflected vital points made in his book, “The Man Code.” There is one in particular that we discussed at length regarding Brad’s premiere night of season 15. It was about the importance of fathers being involved in their children’s lives, especially boys.
Good realizes it’s not easy for Brad to come back on “The Bachelor” and when I asked him about the past Brad brought up regarding his father, Dave had a lot to say because he knows how important a father is in a boy’s life. He said there couldn’t be a “better layout” in illustrating how important a father is than how Brad addressed it on “The Bachelor” Monday night.
“It’s not uncommon, unfortunately,” Dave said about Brad’s story regarding the absence of his father. “This is exactly what I’m talking about in my book. Exactly.”
Although David can’t speak for what occurred between Brad Womack and his father, he acknowledges the side effects which can come years later in a relationship with a woman. In fact, he says Brad never wanted to hurt DeAnna Pappas, Jenni Croft, or any woman in the first place.
“A man fearing being hurt pushes people away instead of letting them inside,” Good continued. “Fathers are very important. I can’t speak for Brad and what happened with him, but yes, fathers have a lot to do with how a man feels towards love. Brad never wanted to hurt those women and that’s what we do when we have fear.”
Unlike Womack, Good was raised by a father who was by his side in spite of being the child of divorce. He brings up the crucial fact that single moms have an enormous role in this category.
Dave states, “Single moms have power over how we act and think.”
David was divorced at the age of 9, but his mom made certain he maintained a close relationship with his father and credits her many times over in his book, “The Man Code.”

“Bachelor” Exclusive Interview with David Good – Brad on the Right Track
At the conclusion of this interview, David said he believes Brad Womack is on the right track in finding love and that Brad really lives the Man Code through his values and beliefs. He’s honest and willing to be himself 100 percent. As David also reminds “Bachelor” fans, it’s a “two-way street” and the women have to be just as open to Brad on “The Bachelor” in 2011.
