Antwerp, without a doubt is a nice city in Belgium. There is something for everyone, museums, beautiful buildings, nice shops, trendy restaurants and cafes. The Zoo
In the zoo, you have been! It is definitely one of the finest (and oldest) zoos in Europe. Not only animals are worthwhile, but the building is magnificent. Pull here quietly for a half day off because there is much to see. The Zoo is located in the city alone makes very good access. The shows are high quality.
Central Station
A beautiful building. Walk inside and go upstairs to the platforms. There you have a nice view of the inner dome of the station.
The Stone

Rubens House
In the Rubens House you’ll find great works of the Belgian painter. Located on the Wapper, a side street of the Meir where many restaurants and cafes are present.
Fotomuseum
Highly recommended! With an ever changing this beautiful museum collection remains up to date. Located in the district of the South.
Fashion Museum
Here you find everything about the history of fashion. Located in the National Street, the fashion street of Antwerp.
Museum of Contemporary Art
This museum is a collection of international contemporary art since 1970.
Shopping:
The Meir area
The Meir is similar to the floating of Amsterdam. All major fashion brands are located here: H & M, C & A, Peek & Cloppenburg, Zara etc. You will find also some exclusive shops. Are you looking for the more exclusive brands like Gucci and Prada, go to the streets around the Meir, including Huidevettersstraat. The National Street you’ll find famous shops (Belgian) designers like Dries van Noten.
The High Street and Kloosterstraat
In these streets you’ll find mostly antique and curio shops. Especially visit the Idea, an unmissable shop in the High Street. An interior retailers with a wink!
The South
If you are looking for new furniture, come to the South. Here are various home furnishing stores. You will also find several art galleries. The shop is located in Ann Demeulenmeester the South. The South is known that the locals go. You’ll find a lot of cafes and restaurants.
Restaurants
Around the Grand bursting with restaurants, something for everyone. Meat, fish, Italian, Greek … Here you will find everything. Of course, the real Flemish fries! The South also the district is very nice, there are less tourists and more real Antwerp. Vlaamsekaai to find nice restaurants.

Transportation:
Cars
By car from Amsterdam was just under 2 hours drive to Antwerp. In the city there are some streets where you can park for little money, including Charlottalei. This street is located near the center. Also you can car (paid time) lost in one of the garages.
Train
You can reach Antwerp within 2 hours from Amsterdam by train. A return ticket will cost approximately € 55 per person.
