Galloping gastronomes and sauntering sommeliers will want to add the Annual Hudson Wine Festival to their travel plans this year.
This premier Ohio event is known to attract a cavalcade of culinary and wine enthusiasts from across the country all eager to sample over 250 wines paired with some of Hudson’s finest cuisine.
What follows is a trip planning guide that includes details on the festival as well as suggestions on area dining and lodging.
Hudson Wine Festival
The Annual Hudson Wine Festival will take place July 15th through July 17th, 2011 within the Hudson First and Main shopping district along Village Way.
The event includes live, musical entertainment as well as scheduled wine tastings and thrice daily seminars on such matters as proper food and wine pairing.
There will also be an artist’s tent set up adjacent to the wine tasting area as well as assorted vendors featuring goods and services related to wine, animals and the Hudson community throughout.
Savvy travelers hoping to save a little cash on the admission price would do well to purchase their tickets in advance.
Advance tickets are $20 per adult for the day or $30 per adult for a weekend pass. Admission is inclusive of participation in ten wine tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Those that purchase a weekend pass get a total of twenty wine tastings and one souvenir wine glass.
Proceeds of the annual Hudson Wine Festival go towards the rescue, rehabilitation and relocation of abused and abandoned pets in Summit County.
A more detailed schedule of events is generally released online by late June.
