Anderson Silva lands a front kick from out of nowhere and it lands on the chin of Vitor Belfort. Belfort falls backwards and Anderson Silva throws a few punches to get the quick first round KO. Wow, what an incredible and quick victory for the champion.
UFC 126 was live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The event started at ten PM with three live Preliminary bouts on Spike TV. The rest of UFC could only be seen on PPV or at your local sports bar.
Anderson Silva lands a front kick on the chin of Vitor Belfort, lands some quick punches and KO’s Belfort in the first round at UFC 126. Silva is incredible; he ended the fight with a dangerous puncher by quickly knocking him out. UFC 126 ends with lightning fast fireworks. Anderson Silva is an incredible champion.
Forrest Griffin wins a unanimous decision over Rich Franklin at UFC 126. Griffin took Franklin down and used his larger size to control Franklin for much of the fight. Franklin got some good shots in, but Griffin hit Franklin with the better shots and Griffin controlled the fight. These fighters are both fan favorites and it is tough to see either of them lose. Fighters like Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin are what make the UFC great.
John Jones gets the guillotine submission over Ryan Bader in the second round at UFC 126. This was the first loss for Ryan Bader who was dominated by John Jones.
Jake Ellenberger wins a split decision over Carlos Eduardo Rocha after three rounds of very competitive fighting at UFC 126. Ellenberger had just a little more than Rocha in this fight and eked out the win.
Miguel Torres wins a Unanimous decision over Antonia Bañuelos after three rounds at UFC 126. This was a pretty boring fight. Torres used his reach to keep Bañuelos away and score points. The crowd booed at times, but Miguel Torres stuck to his game plan to win the UFC fight.
Preliminaries on Spike TV
Chad Mendes wins a unanimous decision over Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 126 first televised preliminary fight. Omigawa was game, but Mendes punished him for three rounds. Omigawa has a very good chin and a very bloody face.
Kyle Kingsbury hits Ricardo Romero with a knee to the ribs and some good punches and Romero falls to the ground. Kingsbury drops Romero with a left hook and the ref stops the fight. This was a very quick and fast TKO for Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 126. He took out Romero in 21 seconds.
Donald Cerrone chokes out Paul Kelly in the second round at UFC 126. Kelly landed some good punches on his feet, but Cerrone took him down in the first round and opened up a cut above Kelly’s eye with an elbow. In the second round, Cerrone takes Kelly down again, gets control of him and chokes him out. This is the first UFC win for Cowboy Donald Cerrone.

Some of us would have enjoyed watching some of these preliminary KO’s at UFC 126 on Spike TV Mr. Dana White. Regardless, UFC 126 was fun to watch. The fights were great and the KO by Anderson Silva was incredible. Anderson Silva has to be the best pound for pound fighter in the UFC. Vitor Belfort should still be seeing stars after being on the other end of that knockout. This is what makes the UFC incredible, Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort hug after the match. You don’t see this kind of respect or excitement in boxing anymore. I can’t wait for UFC 127.
