I love Amy’s Kitchen. It possibly shows through all my Amy’s reviews that Amy’s food products are a staple in my house. I have eaten their enchilada meals until I have been blue in the face. I still love them but with the huge selection they have it can be rather disappointing to only have that option at a local market. It wasn’t until I found out a local grocery store I rarely shop at had Amy’s products on sale that I went there and found they carried more than just the enchiladas. Along with my normal enchiladas I purchased Amy’s Indian Vegetable Korma.
If you like Amy’s products and you like Indian food then I highly suggest running, not walking to find the store nearest to you that sells their Indian Vegetable Korma. The Amy’s Whole Meals are my favorite. I don’t think they have enough vegan option ones but they are adding more and more like this Indian Vegetable Korma whole meal, complete with curried vegetables with rice and dal.
The rice is the perfect texture with a light curry lemon taste mixed with peas, potatoes and cashews. I don’t like peas and this happens to have lots of peas but I barely notice them among all the flavors. The rich tasting Korma is full of flavor. I can taste the tomato, curry and an occasional raisin which only adds its amazing taste. And the random cashew just sends my taste buds over the edge. It is loaded with carrot, potatoes, cauliflower, green beans and peas. To complete the meal there is also a dal mix on the side. It is a delicious mix of flavorful lentils and beans.
It takes only about 4 – 5 minutes to cook in the microwave. I cooked it for 5 minutes and it was still a bit cold in the middle, so I stuck it in for about 30 seconds more. It turned out perfect after that. I don’t think the end result looked as perfect as the front box picture but I didn’t care it was so good looks didn’t matter.
Amy’s Indian Vegetable Korma is vegan and gluten free, though it is not nut allergy free because it does contain tree nut products, cashews, coconut and almonds. Calories are not too bad for a complete filling meal at 310 calories for the whole entrée. The fat is not too bad at 12 grams but it might not be considered lean for those on a diet. The fiber is great at 7 grams, the protein at 9 grams and 20% iron.
I really love Amy’s Indian Vegetable Korma. The variety of flavors and spices make my mouth happy. The only thing that makes me sad is when it is gone. If you love Indian food I guarantee you will love the Vegetable Korma and highly recommend you give it a try.
