Just before Thanksgiving I paid a visit with my family to the local mall in pursuit of finding a nice inexpensive gift for give my mother as she hosted all of us at the house for the big November meal. We stopped no further than Bath and Body Works to pursue this hostess gift. The beeline to Bath and Body works was not too surprising given my significant other had a coupon in her hand. I knew this would be a longer than anticipated visit. We found an ideal candle for mom, and eventually our attention was diverted to the latest assortment of trendy fragrances offered for women.
As for cologne and perfume, I am accustomed to shopping at Ulta3 so I didn’t realize Bath and Body Works was a retailer of perfumes and sprays. I just as well expected to see pretty much bath soaps, salt scrubs, and lotions. While my wife sampled several these scents, I was shown the men’s fragrances by one of the store clerks. Who knew Bath and Body Works carried men’s items? I ended up sampling the Ocean cologne as well as Twilight Woods. I liked both products, but ended up purchasing the Twilight cologne in addition to the chocolate mint candle for mom.
Twilight Woods Cologne for Men Review: Scent
The decision to go with Twilight over Ocean had much to do with the slightly heavier musk scent offered by the twilight Woods. The fragrance has a woody soft scent that stays on well and smells pretty awesome when I compare to some of the heavy hitters I am accustomed to such as Aqua Di Gio. I had already grown to love the scent of the women’s Twilight woods so I figured the men’s fragrance had to be equally as good. My hunch was correct as I have received compliments on the pleasant smell of Twilight Woods.
The cologne has just the right balance of musk, fruitiness and spice. It wears well for about four to five hours before giving up. The only drawback to this cologne is it fades considerably throughout the day and does not hold up as long as the heavy hitters such as Armani or D&G.
Twilight Woods Cologne for Men Review: Price
The price for a bottle of a 3.4 ounce of Twilight Woods Cologne costs approximately $29.50 at Bath and Body Works. This price is dirt cheap considering how great this product wears (even if going on a three hour dinner date with that special someone). The larger bottle of cologne for the price is also a welcomed sight on my vanity as it sits next to the two to two and a half ounce higher priced scents that run me at least fifty bucks. One can acquire a bottle of Twilight Woods Cologne even cheaper if you catch a special in store promotion or have coupons handy. With such thrifty perks as those offered by Bath and Body works, one will be hard pressed to find as good a deal at a department store shopping for a top tier cologne.
Is Twilight Woods Cologne for Men a good buy?
My overall impression of Twilight Woods Cologne is that it is a good buy. The purchasing experience at bath and body works was positive from the beginning as we were assisted by very accommodating sales associates and also purchased our products with coupon in hand. Even the packaging is pretty cool as the bottle and box have a mysterious brown woodsy label (akin to something you would see with the Twilight Book/Movie series). The best part of all is that the wife really digs the scent and I will most likely be back to consider purchasing the Ocean fragrance for summer.
