The use of a cane can be problematic from time to time and can also leave you vulnerable. Well, the Zap Cane which can be lengthened or shorted between thirty two to thirty six inches and can release a one million volt charge that will render anyone trying to cause you harm unable to do so. While it’s not clear how effective of an actual cane this will be or whether it is an adequate replacement for the current canes on the market remains to be seen. Though it could be a step down from the current canes on the market today the advantage that it has to them could more than make up for the downside to not having as much support. The ability to protect yourself will out way some of the discomfort that you may feel. Even if less support is the case the concept and invention itself will allow for companies to work together to create better canes in the future that will provide for better support and durability.
The cane itself is very innovative and definitely required some out of the box thinking. With teasers and things like it out on the market already many companies seemed to not focus on the problem of some individuals with not having high mobility. For a company to care enough to invest in such an invention and for them to take the time to design a protective tool that also works as a general support is a great thing. This way criminals will not suspect that the person has the ability to protect themselves at all and this will allow the person using the cane to have the element of surprise. This can also be good for people who don’t even require the use of a can to walk and will allow them to also protect themselves in a manner in which no criminal would suspect. The downside to such an invention is the health hazard as well as the fact that such a powerful taser is not able to be used everywhere. In the end the invention itself is something that is sure to sell and keep improving with better technology, making defending yourself much easier in the future.
