Lately I haven’t done very well on my diet. I have had trouble with my eyes so I decided to quit until my eye doctor can give me the okay. These cardboard dinners that sound so wonderful on these food reviews aren’t that great. I bought some of the expensive ones and they were old tasting. The calories may have been low but food has to taste good.
I decided to make homemade soup and I can eat a lot of it. I filled my crock pot with frozen vegetables that had zucchini, squash and all sorts of good stuff. I added water and an onion and a can of mixed vegetables. I put several tablespoons of Knorr’s tomato bouillon with chicken flavor in it. It was the best soup! Three bowls of soup can’t be that fattening. Sometimes I add tomato paste but I really like this Knorr tomato bouillon.
I also made chicken salad the other day. I am staying clear of foods with all the additives. Except for icecream. I didn’t buy any Double Strawberry, Sugar Free Blue Bunny Icecream this week. I wanted to get it so bad but I didn’t. I also made peanut butter bars for the grandkids .Yesterday, Emme was here and she is three and when she comes over she wants to pretend she has a Cooking Show. So we Play. It made my day! Children are so precious.
I got away from this diet for awhile and we watched cartoons and colored. We put blocks on top of each other and read books. I take that back. She read me the children’s books. She made up stories with the pictures.
Another game she likes is being a yady.(lady.) She wears lipstick, a necklace and a hat and carries a purse. She loves to play this game. She gets her best friend out, her big doll and puts different shoes on her. Of course Emme puts her red glitter dancing shoes on and dances. She is so sweet.
I wouldn’t trade this precious time with Emme for a million dollars. Oh, she had a purse full of toy dollars and she counted them all, one three, seven…
I am not being paid to mention Knorr’s or Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Sugar Free Icecream.
