The iPad 2 is one of the biggest buzzing gadgets on the market right now, and if you’ve decided to buy one, the questions have only just begun. Here are 5 questions to consider after you’ve decided to buy an iPad 2.
How Much Storage Space Will You Need?
One of the biggest decisions you’ll have to make when you buy an iPad 2 is how much storage space you’ll need. It comes in three different capacity variants – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB – and you need to be sure which one you’ll need before you take your new tablet home – because you won’t be able to expand your memory later.
3G or WiFi only?
Connecting to the internet another big concern and the iPad 2 comes in two flavors; WiFi only or WiFi and 3G. The WiFi only option will only allow you to connect to the internet while you’re on a local wireless connection – and is best for those that don’t get out much [like myself] – and the 3G and WiFi version is best for hardcore internet users that must have access to the web – even on the go.
AT&T or Verizon?
If you opt for both 3G and WiFi access on your iPad 2, you’ll be forced to make another decision; AT&T or Verizon? Contrary to popular belief, you’ll have to choose your internet provider ahead of time because each 3G iPad 2 will only work with AT&T or Verizon – not both. Choosing which 3D service is best for you is a big decision and for more assistance with that, I’d recommend reading this article.
Black or White?
Unlike the first generation, the iPad 2 now comes in both black and white and you’ll want to figure out which design works better with your style [I bought a black version for myself and my wife opted for the white]. It’s really up to you as to which style you find best, but you’ll want to look at an iPad 2 display to see it in person, just to make sure.
What Else Will I Need?
Buying an iPad 2 is a big decision, but once you’ve purchased one, you’ll still have to make a few more decisions and figure out what else you may need for your new tablet? There are lots of covers, keyboards, docks, shells, carrying cases, sleeves, and other accessories – and protection plans as well – and you want to make sure you have what you need before you leave the store so that your iPad 2 is all set up and ready to go when you need it.
