Lady Gaga arrived at the 2011 Grammy Awards in an egg. This is another interesting twist in the life of the weird, but talented entertainer. Yes, Lady Gaga did finally hatch out of the egg after she arrived on stage at the Grammy award ceremonies. Lady Gaga won the Grammy for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for ‘Bad Romance’ and Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘The Fame Monster’. Some Lady Gaga fans may have been disappointed she was not as strange as she could have been, but the hatching out of the age incident was tame enough to give the world another touch of her weird glamour.
One of the top honors at the 2011 Grammy Awards was given to the Canadian Indie group Arcade Fire for ‘The Suburbs’ which earned them the Grammy for top album of the year. Esperanza Spalding won the Grammy for Best New Artist. The Best Male Pop Vocal Performance was awarded to Bruno Mars for ‘Just The Way You Are’, Paul McCartney won the Grammy for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for ‘Helter Skelter’, Neil Young won the Grammy for Best Rock Song for ‘Angry World’, Rapper Eminem won the Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance for ‘Not Afraid’, the Best Female R ‘n’ B Vocal Performance was awarded to Fantasia for ‘Bittersweet’, and the Best Male R ‘n’ B Vocal Performance went to Usher for ‘There Goes My Baby’
Lady Antebellum won top honors at the 2011 Grammy Awards for her album ‘need you now’ which won the Grammy for Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Christina Aguilera won her own special 2011 Grammy award when she took a fall on the stage. This award is unofficially a Super Bowl fan favorite award for completely screwing up the National Anthem in front of 103 million viewers. Good job Christina Aguilera, thank you for punishing yourself.

The 2011 Grammy Awards were interesting and entertaining. Lady Gaga reminds one of a twenty first modernized version of Madonna. She does everything she can to be strange and has the talent to back her up. Madonna used this same oddness to enjoy a career that lasted a lifetime. The future for Lady Gaga is bright and strange and full of awards. Lady Antebellum won the show with three top awards at the 2011 Grammy Awards. If you saw the clothes at the 2011 Grammy Awards, you would have thought the stars believed they were going to a costume party and not an awards ceremony. Nicki Minaj tried to out-do Lady Gaga with her leopard outfit, but she just does not have the same style to pull it off. Hope you enjoyed the 2011 Grammy’s, it was fun, it was strange, it was full of ladies. However, Lady Gaga did not win the show this time; Lady Antebellum beat her and won the night.
